Soon-To-Be Obsolete NCAA Tournament Predictions/Prayers

I love and hate this time of year. On the one hand, we've got basketball, basketball, BASKETBALL! On the other, I invariably have no idea what the heck is going to happen, resulting in my laughably inept brackets.

So I'll keep this simple:

1. Go (to the Sweet 16) Cougs!
2. Go (to the second round) Zags!
3. Go (to the Elite 8) Butler!
4. Go (to the Final Four) Stanford!

UPDATE:
First half score: 29-29.
Second half score: Cougs 42 Winthrop 11.
Final score: Cougs 71 Winthrop 40.
Aside from that, my bracket's already in tatters. Viva Madness!

Re. #4 - What kind of parent names their twin boys Robin and Brook? It practically guarantees them ruthless torment in grade school. And then what are the odds that they both grow to 7 feet tall, whence they can go back to Hollywood and beat the snot out of their former tormentors.

Nervous about the Cougs, but then I think nervousness and Cougs go together like peas and carrots.

"Son, this world is rough
And if a man's gonna make it, he's gotta be tough
And I knew I wouldn't be there to help ya along.
So I give ya that name and I said goodbye
I knew you'd have to get tough or die
And it's the name that helped to make you strong."

Nervous about the Cougs

I like the first-round match-up. Winthrop v. WSU reminds me of WSU v. UCLA. When two teams play the same style, but one has better talent, go with the team with the talent.

But after all those years of the Cougs wandering the college basketball wilderness, I'm not going to slit my wrists if they don't make the Sweet 16.

Sure would be nice though...
